Quality Practice and Evolving Care Models
Quality practice efforts in 2025 emphasized strengthening the Continuing Competency Program through enhanced resources, improved online learning tools, and a refined review process. These initiatives supported registrants’ lifelong learning while ensuring ongoing competence and public protection.
In 2025, the College focused on responding to evolving practice models, including self‑employed, agency, and virtual nursing care. New and updated practice directions, along with increased consultation support, clarified expectations and helped registrants deliver safe, competent, and ethical care in diverse settings.
As we close out 2025, I am inspired by the collective progress demonstrated by the College, our Council, and the dedicated registered nurses and nurse practitioners we govern.
